Solidarity Beyond the Stands: Ensuring Safety For All Fans

Soccer is a global game that brings people together - no borders, just unity. As an organization committed to inclusion, safety, and belonging for all members of our soccer community, we are deeply saddened and troubled that supporters and fans feel unable to attend matches due to concerns for their personal safety and well-being.

We want to affirm clearly and without reservation: everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and to feel safe and welcome in our shared spaces, no matter where they are from.

We express our solidarity with those who are impacted and will continue working to ensure that our matches, gatherings, and communities are as accessible, inclusive, and supportive as possible.

To further that commitment, the Independent Supporters Council will be developing and distributing resources that our member groups can use to navigate and respond to different situations—whether at matches, in their local communities, or online. These tools will include guidance on safety planning, allyship, de-escalation, and advocating for the protection of fans of all immigration statuses, especially in moments of uncertainty or heightened risk.

Our mission has always been—and will remain—centered on community, respect, and unity. We see you. We value you. And we are here for you—not just in words, but in action.
