ISC Announces Partnership With You Can Play

The Independent Supporters Council (ISC) are excited to announce a new partnership with You Can Play Project (YCP) to support our vital work for LGBTQ+ inclusion in soccer. Our focus on inclusion will be centered on making

soccer stadiums and games a welcoming environment for LGBTQ+ fans, the teams we support are more inclusive in their operations and approach, and generally communicate that soccer is for everyone.

You Can Play’s resources developed for ISC will educate our members and provide resources for their active engagement in advocacy and inclusion. ‘Our passion is soccer and supporting the teams we love’ explains Bailey the president of ISC. ‘Our organization endeavors to share that passion with current and future fans of the game. This specific focus on the LGBTQ+ community will ensure we make a real and lasting impact to make soccer a game for everyone, regardless of your sexuality or gender identity.

‘Partnerships like these are special to us, as this is truly a grassroot movement within each soccer team and community. These are the groups and environments where change starts and becomes cultura. We’re excited about the ISC member’s willingness to use this forum to make LGBTQ+ inclusion a priority,’ said Josie Nixon, Head of US Partnerships at YCP.

By working with such an established sports advocacy organization, ISC will be able to give their members the opportunity to scale up their home team’s inclusion mission.
